Breakfast Rice

Rough Steps

  • Mix milk, cinnamon, bown sugar, and raisins into a pot of leftover rice.

  •  Add whatever else you like to make an easy, oatmeal-like breakfast.

Detailed Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably leftover rice)

  • 1 cup shelf-stable milk (Regular milk works too, but will need to be refrigerated)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1/4 cup raisins

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rice:

    • Add the cooked rice to a pot, or use what's leftover in there.

    • Pour in the shelf-stable milk until the mixture is slightly soupy.

  2. Simmer the Rice:

    • Stir in the sugar, raisins, and cinnamon.

    • Simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
