Rough Steps

1. Prepare Instant or homemade biscuits at home 

2. Prepare and freeze sausage gravy 

3. Boil the gravy bag, warm the biiscuts and serve

Ingredients

For Biscuits:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury)


For Gravy:

  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Biscuits:

    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the biscuit dough (either place biscuits whole or cut them in halves for smaller portions).

    • Cook according to the package directions, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.

  2. Gravy:

    • In another skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled.

    • Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

    • Gradually add milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens (5-7 minutes).

    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Serve:

    • Split the biscuits and pour the gravy over the top.
